The death of a 58-year-old man found shot last year in a car dealership in west suburban Cicero has been ruled a homicide by the Cook County medical examiner’s office.
Jerzy C. Krolikowski was found Dec. 27 in a car at the dealership where he worked in the 4800 block of West 16th Street in Cicero with a gunshot wound to the chest, according to Cicero town spokesman Ray Hanania.
Krolikowski, a Justice resident, was pronounced dead at the scene at 11:58 p.m., according to the medical examiner’s office.
An autopsy did not immediately rule on cause and manner of death pending a police investigation, but has since found that he died of a gunshot wound to the chest and ruled his death a homicide, according to the medical examiner’s office.
Hanania said the Cicero police investigation has not confirmed that Krolikowski’s death was a homicide.
