Four Chicago Police officers were injured in a crash Monday night in the South Chicago neighborhood.
About 10:45 p.m., a vehicle was attempting to elude police during a traffic pursuit in the 8000 block of South Manistee, police News Affairs Officer Amina Greer said.
During the pursuit, the suspect’s vehicle crashed into two police squad cars in the 8900 block of South Chicago.
Four South Chicago District officers were inside the squad cars at the time of the crash. They were taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn with non-life threatening injuries, Greer said.
The 25-year-old man driving the vehicle was taken into custody.
No charges or citations were issued as of early Tuesday.
