A 29-year-old man was critically injured in a Humboldt park shooting early Sunday on the West Side.
Just after 1 a.m., he was outside in the 4400 block of West Augusta when a gunman walked out of a gangway and opened fire, striking him repeatedly in the abdomen, according to police News Affairs Officer Ron Gaines.
He was taken to Norwegian American Hospital and later transferred to Stroger Hospital in critical condition, Gaines said.
