A woman died after a shooting that also left a man dead early Sunday in Englewood on the South Side.
Tyree White, 29, and Ashley Eddings, 28, were outside near West 59th Street and South Wentworth Avenue when someone walked up and opened fire about 2:15 a.m., according to Chicago Police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office.
White, of the 200 block of East 121st Place, was shot in the chest and was pronounced dead at the scene less than 30 minutes later, authorities said.
Eddings, of the 300 block of North Broadway Street in Joliet, was shot in the back and taken to Stroger Hospital, where she was pronounced dead at 6:05 a.m. Sunday, according to the medical examiner’s office.
