Man, 18, killed in South Side shooting

An 18-year-old man was killed Monday afternoon in a shooting on the border of the Woodlawn and Washington Park neighborhoods on the South Side.

Marshawn Fleming Jr. was shot in the back about 2:45 p.m. in the 6000 block of South King Drive, according to police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

Fleming, of the 6800 block of South Wabash, was taken to Stroger Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 3:54 p.m., according to the medical examiner’s office.
