A 55-year-old man was shot early Thursday in the Far South Side Morgan Park neighborhood.
He was walking to a store about 3:11 a.m. in the 11000 block of South Racine when a male walked up, pulled out a handgun and took his gold chain, according to Chicago Police. As he struggled with the male for the gun, he was shot in the right foot.
He walked into MetroSouth Medical Center in Blue Island, where he was listed in good condition, police said.
The shooting might have been self-inflicted, according to police.
