(WOODSTOCK) A northwest suburban man is accused of stealing electronics, cash and other items from unlocked vehicles last week in Woodstock.
Adrian N. Tostado, 22, is charged with two counts of felony burglary, two counts of felony theft over $500 and two counts of misdemeanor theft, according to a Woodstock police statement.
Police claim he burglarized eight unlocked vehicles during the overnight hours of Nov. 22 on the city’s northwest side, police said. Electronics, camera equipment and cash were reported stolen.
Authorities later found some of the items at Tostado’s home in the 800 block of Washington Street in Woodstock, police said.
He was arrested Tuesday and taken to the McHenry County Jail where he remains in custody.
Police are urging residents to remove valuables from sight and keep their vehicles clocked.
