Man charged with burglarizing cars in Lisle

A 45-year-old man was charged with taking items from vehicles early Monday in west suburban Lisle.

Police were called at 12:23 a.m. about a man trying to find unlocked cars near Southport and Lacey Avenues, according to Lisle police.

Officers found Bernardo D. Leonardo with several items taken from vehicles in the 1000 block of Lacey and the 4600 block of Main Street, including sunglasses, a GPS and loose change, police said.

He faces two felony counts of burglary and was held at the DuPage County Jail.
