A 21-year-old man shot to death early Sunday in the Greater Grand Crossing neighborhood on the South Side has been identified.
Officers responding to a call of shots fired about 12:50 a.m. found Dontay Murray unresponsive inside a vehicle in an alley in the 7600 block of South Drexel, according to Chicago Police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office.
Murray was shot twice in the neck and was pronounced dead at the scene, according to police and the medical examiner’s office.
An autopsy found he died of multiple gunshot wounds and his death was ruled a homicide.
