Man hurt in Humboldt Park drive-by shooting

A man was hurt in a drive-by shooting early Sunday in the West Side Humboldt Park neighborhood.

Two men were walking in the 3300 block of West Beach when a dark-colored SUV pulled up and the driver fired shots about 12:30 a.m., police said.

The SUV took off eastbound after the shooting, police said.

One of the men, 21, was shot in the leg and taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where his condition had stabilized, police said.

The other man, 20, suffered a bruise to the leg and refused medical attention. Police initially said the second man was also shot.
