Man seriously wounded in shooting at Austin gas station

A 31-year-old man was shot and seriously wounded at an Austin neighborhood gas station Sunday morning on the West Side.

About 5 a.m., he got into an argument with another male at the station in the 5100 block of West Chicago, according to police News Affairs Officer Jose Estrada.

The other person got into a vehicle and opened fire as he drove away, striking the 31-year-old in the left shoulder, Estrada said.

Acquaintances dropped the man off at West Suburban Medical Center, where he was listed in serious condition.
