A man was shot Sunday morning in the West Garfield Park neighborhood on the West Side.
The 18-year-old man was in a parked car along with three other males in the 4100 block of West Wilcox about 9:45 a.m. when numerous shots rang out, according to Chicago Police. He was shot in the chest, abdomen and arm.
His friends tried to drive him to the nearest hospital, but the vehicle was pulled over in the 3100 block of West Cermak after officers saw them “driving erratically,” police said.
Paramedics took the man to Mount Sinai Hospital, where he was listed in serious condition.
