A man was shot and critically wounded early Sunday in the Bridgeport neighborhood on the South Side.
The 36-year-old was standing on the back porch of a home about 3 a.m. in the 600 block of West 28th Street when someone opened fire, according to Chicago Police.
He suffered multiple gunshot wounds and was taken in critical condition to Stroger Hospital, police said.
A police source said the man is a documented gang member.
