A 23-year-old man was shot when two people tried to rob him in West Garfield Park late Friday on the West Side.
About 10 p.m., he was on a sidewalk in the 3900 block of West Flournoy when the two walked up and demanded his things, according to Chicago Police.
The man ran away and at least one of the would-be robbers opened fire, hitting him in both legs, police said.
He was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where his condition was stabilized, police said.
