An 18-year-old man was shot Sunday evening in the Gresham neighborhood on the South Side.
He was walking south in the 8700 block of South Racine about 5:15 p.m. when he heard shots and realized he’d been hit, according to Chicago Police.
He suffered a gunshot wound to the right leg and took himself to Little Company of Mary Hospital and Health Care Center in Evergreen Park, where he is listed in good condition, police said.
A police source said the man is a documented gang member.
