A man was shot Wednesday night in the Morgan Park neighborhood on the Far South Side, and charges are pending against another man who returned fire in the shooting.
Two men, ages 21 and 23, were standing with another person on the sidewalk in the 11300 block of South Homewood about 9:45 p.m. when someone started shooting at them from across the street, police said.
The 23-year-old was grazed in the abdomen and taken to MetroSouth Medical Center in Blue Island, where his condition was stabilized, police said.
The 21-year-old shot back at the original shooter and he was later taken into custody, police said. Charges were pending against him Thursday morning.
