A man was critically injured in a shooting Sunday morning in the Irving Park neighborhood on the Northwest Side.

The 27-year-old was meeting with someone he knew about 6:05 a.m. in the 4000 block of West Belmont when the two got into an argument, according to Chicago Police. The other person then pulled out a gun and shot the man in the head.

He was taken to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center in critical condition, police said.
