Two people were shot and one of them, a 14-year-old boy, was critically wounded Friday morning in the West Side Austin neighborhood.
The 19-year-old man and 14-year-old boy were standing on the sidewalk just before 11:30 a.m. in the 1600 block of North Luna when a male walked up and started shooting in their direction, according to Chicago Police.
The 14-year-old was shot in the groin and taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in critical condition, police said. The man was shot in the right buttock and was also taken to Mount Sinai in good condition.
