An 18-year-old man was wounded in a drive-by shooting Sunday morning in the Gage Park neighborhood on the Southwest Side.

He was outside in the 5900 block of South Maplewood about 11 a.m. when a silver or gray vehicle approached and someone inside fired shots, according to Chicago Police.

He was shot in the left thigh and lower right leg and driven by family members to Holy Cross Hospital, where his condition was stabilized, police said. He was expected to be transferred to Mount Sinai Hospital.

The vehicle took off westbound on Maplewood after the shooting, police said.

The victim was not cooperating with investigators, according to a police source.
