A 44-year-old man from Michigan was shot to death late Saturday in West Englewood on the South Side.
Adrian Jeffries was standing on a sidewalk about 11:05 p.m. in the 6000 block of South Throop when someone got out of a black SUV and opened fire, according to Chicago Police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office.
He was struck in the head and back and taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 2 a.m., authorities said.
Jeffries was from Holland, Michigan, about 30 miles southwest of Grand Rapids.
