A man was shot and critically wounded late Thursday in the Washington Heights neighborhood on the Far South Side.
The 23-year-old man was sitting in a parked vehicle just before 10 p.m. in the 9700 block of South Sangamon Avenue when a black four-door vehicle drove by and someone inside fired shots, police said.
He was shot in the neck and was taken in critical condition to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, police said.
