A man was taken into custody early Saturday after a woman was shot in the Morgan Park neighborhood on the Far South Side.
The woman, 26, was standing outside in the 1500 block of West 111th Street about 4:30 a.m. when she got into an argument with the man, who then pulled out a gun and opened fire, police said.
The woman was shot in the upper left arm and was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where her condition was stabilized, police said.
The 25-year-old man ran away after the shooting, but was later taken into custody, police said. No charges had been filed as of 8:15 a.m.
