A man was shot in the Little Village neighborhood Tuesday night on the Southwest Side.

About 9 p.m., the 42-year-old man was walking in the 2100 block of South Fairfield when a dark vehicle pulled up and two people got out of the back seat with guns, according to Chicago Police.

They opened fire, striking him in the right ankle as he ran down an alley, police said.

The man was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where his condition was stabilized, police said.

Investigators think the shooting was gang-related.
