Northlake police are speaking with several “persons of interest” after a 21-year-old man was fatally shot Saturday night outside his west suburban home.
Alecxis Martinez was shot about 10:40 p.m. after getting into an altercation in front of his home in the 400 block of South 44th Avenue, Northlake police said. He was having a dispute with people in one or more vehicles.
Martinez was pronounced dead at 11:09 p.m. at Gottlieb Memorial Hospital in Melrose Park, according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office. An autopsy ruled his death a homicide.
Authorities are interviewing several persons of interest as of Monday morning as part of the ongoing investigation, Northlake police said. No charges have been filed.
