Police: 3 armed robberies reported at Lake View stores in March

Police are alerting Lake View neighborhood residents of armed store robberies throughout March.
In each incident, two males entered the stores and showed a handgun while robbing the business and customers inside, Area North detectives said in an alert issued Sunday night.
The robberies happened in the following blocks:
-3700 block of North Broadway about 3:30 a.m. on March 11
-4100 block of North Clark about 3:30 a.m. on March 20
-4100 block of North Clark about 8:15 a.m. on March 22
From the robbery on Broadway, the two suspects are thought to be a pair of black males, one standing 5-foot 9 and the other at 6-feet, police said. An approximate age wasn’t provided.
Both were seen wearing hooded black jackets and black face masks, and at least one of them had a chrome handgun, police said.
In the Clark incidents, the robbers were described as 150 to 170-pound black men, between 20 to 30 years old and standing between 5-foot-9 and 6-feet, police said. One of them was wearing a white jacket with red designs during both store robberies, while the other wore dark jackets, police said. Both wore scarves over their faces and were armed with a chrome handgun.
