A 50-year-old man was killed Saturday night in a hit-and-run crash in the Southwest Side Scottsdale neighborhood.

James D. Hughes was struck about 9:45 p.m. in the 8500 block of South Cicero, Chicago Police and the Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office said. The vehicle drove away after the crash.

Hughes, who lived in the Wicker Park neighborhood, was pronounced dead at the scene about 10 minutes later, authorites said. An autopsy Sunday did not rule on the cause and manner of his death pending further investigation.
