A group of robbers in a minivan has held up passengers waiting at two West Garfield Park bus stops in the past week, according to Chicago Police.
In each case, a gray minivan pulled up to a CTA bus stop and the suspects got out and demanded property from victims, according to a community alert issued by Area North detectives.
The suspects stole a watch, purse and money, police said.
The first robbery happened about 3:50 p.m. May 11 in the 3800 block of West Madison, police said. The second happened at 5:45 a.m. Saturday in the 3800 block of West Jackson.
The suspects are described as two black men 20-24, standing between 5-foot-10 and 6 feet, and weighing between 180 and 200 pounds, the alert said. Both wore their hair in dreadlocks.
A third suspect is described as a black woman 18-22 with blonde hair, between 5-foot-4 and 5-foot-6, and 120-140 pounds, the alert said.
