Police are warning residents of a recent string of burglaries at Oakland neighborhood apartments on the South Side.
In four incidents, suspects entered apartments by prying open the front door, then stealing property from inside, according to a community alert from Chicago Police.
The burglaries happened:
- between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. Jan. 21 in the 3800 block of South Cottage Grove;
- between 7 a.m. and 6:45 p.m. Jan. 22 in the 3800 block of South Ellis;
- between 7:30 a.m. and 4:50 p.m. Jan. 22 in the 700 block of East 37th Place; and
- between 6 a.m. Jan. 24 and 5:30 p.m. Jan. 29 in the 3700 block of South Ellis.
