Police are warning residents about three armed robberies that took place in less than two hours Monday evening at businesses in the West Lawn, Scottsdale and Parkview neighborhoods on the Southwest Side.
In the June 20 incidents, two suspects walked into businesses armed with handguns, announced robberies and stole an undisclosed amount of money, according to a community alert from Chicago Police.
One robbery happened at 8:05 p.m. in the 6200 block of South Knox, then the robbers struck again about 8:30 p.m. in the 8300 block of South Pulaski, police said. The suspects robbed a third business at 9:14 p.m. in the 3600 block of West 83rd Place.
The robbers are described as black males, between 17 and 25 years old, standing between 5-foot-8 and 6-feet and weighing between 150 and 180 pounds, police said.
