Chicago Police are warning South Side residents after a pair of armed robberies last month in the Washington Park neighborhood.

Two men walked up to victims on the street, pulled out a handgun and demanded their property before running away, according to a community alert from police. One of the robbers fired a gun in the victim’s direction in one instance.

The robberies happened about 11 p.m. May 21 in the 5700 block of South Indiana, and about 9 p.m. May 30 in the 5700 block of South Prairie, police said.

The two suspects are described as 25 to 35-year-old black men, standing 5-foot-5 to 6-foot-3 and weighing 170-215 pounds, police said.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Area Central detectives at (312) 747-8382.
