Police are warning about two recent armed robberies in the Little Village neighborhood on the Southwest Side.
In each robbery, the suspect approached people, showed a handgun and demanded property, according to a community alert from Chicago Police. In one case, the robber was heard speaking Spanish.
The robberies happened about 12:20 p.m. April 17 in the 2300 block of South Lawndale and about 4:15 a.m. April 24 in the 3800 block of West 25th Street, police said.
The robber is described as a 20-to-27-year-old Hispanic man with an olive or dark complexion, standing 5-feet-4 to 5-feet-5 and weighing 140 pounds, police said.
