A judge denied bail Saturday for Antoine J. Davis, who’s charged with bicycling up to a 71-year-old man Southwest Side man as he watered his lawn earlier this month and robbing and shooting him in an incident that was caught on surveillance video.
Davis, 30, is charged with armed robbery and aggravated battery with a firearm, according to the police.
The shooting victim, identified by his family as Federico Laguardia, was treated at Mount Sinai Hospital for a gunshot wound to the abdomen.
He’d been watering his lawn Sept. 6 in the 7000 block of South California Avenue in Marquette Park when the police say Davis pulled up on a bicycle, took his wallet, shot him and biked way.
Surveillance footage from a neighbor’s home captured the attack on video.
