Three armed robberies reported in Austin

Police are warning West Side residents after three armed robberies were reported in the Austin neighborhood.

One or two suspects approach the victims on the street, point a handgun at them and demand their property, according to the community alert from Area North detectives.

The robberies happened:

  • about 3:30 a.m. Nov. 8 in the 200 block of North Pine;
  • about 5:45 p.m. Nov. 9 in the 200 block of South Lotus; and
  • about 9:45 p.m. Nov. 17 in the 5300 block of West Madison.

One of the suspects was described as a black man between 20 and 25 years old, 165 to 175 pounds with a dark complexion and wearing all black clothing, police said. Two other suspects were described as a black males, about 18 years old, wearing all black, and a fourth suspect was described as a 5-foot-5 black female.
