Two people have been charged with fatally shooting a woman last month in the Armour Square neighborhood on the South Side.
Natrell Jackson, 18, and Michael Whitehead, 16, each face first-degree murder charges for the Feb. 26 shooting of Shari Graham, according to Chicago Police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office.
Graham, of the 7700 block of South Paulina, was sitting in the back of a cab in the 3800 block of South Princeton Avenue about 9:45 p.m. when shots were fired, police said. A bullet went through the rear of the car and hit the 30-year-old woman in the back.
She later died at Stroger Hospital, authorities said.
On Saturday, Cook County Judge Peggy Chiampas ordered Whitehead held without bond, court records show. The teenager, who lives in the 3700 block of South Wentworth, is next scheduled to appear in court Monday.
Jackson, of the 100 block of East 59th Street, was also denied bond at a Sunday hearing, according to the Cook County sheriff’s office. He is due back in court Monday.
