Two people were shot near the Aragon Ballroom early Sunday in the Uptown neighborhood on the North Side.
The shooting happened at 2:27 a.m. in the 1100 block of West Lawrence, according to Chicago Police.
A 68-year-old man was standing outside at that time when he heard gunfire and realized he’d been shot in the leg, police said. A 34-year-old woman sitting in her vehicle also heard the shots and then suffered a graze wound to the forehead.
They were both taken to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center, where they were listed in good condition, police said.
Police said an unoccupied SUV that had crashed into a building was discovered in the area of the shooting, but it was not immediately clear how the vehicle was connected to the investigation.
