Two teens hurt in East Garfield Park drive-by shooting

Two teenagers were wounded in a drive-by shooting Tuesday afternoon in the East Garfield Park neighborhood on the West Side.

The pair was standing on the sidewalk in the 600 block of South California at 12:16 p.m. when a gray vehicle approached and someone inside fired shots, according to Chicago Police.

Both teens took themselves to Mount Sinai Hospital, police said.

A 16-year-old boy was shot in the chest, back and hip and his condition was stabilized, police said. A 17-year-old boy was shot in the left index finger and left buttocks, and listed in good condition.
