A 36-year-old woman was shot Sunday evening in the South Chicago neighborhood.
About 8:40 p.m., she was standing in the 8400 block of South Buffalo when at least one person came out of the gangway, fired shots and ran away, according to Chicago Police.
She was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in serious condition with a gunshot wound to her back, police said.
A police source said the shooting appeared to be gang-related.
