A southwest suburban man has been charged with stealing cash and credit cards from a YMCA locker last year.
The victim reported cash and credit cards were taken from his wallet, which was in a locker at the Plano YMCA on Dec. 29, 2015, according to the Kendall County sheriff’s office. One of the stolen cards was used at a Plano gas station a short time later.
Investigators identified the suspect as 32-year-old Lawrence Clark and on April 19 the Kane County state’s attorney’s office charged him with a felony count of unlawful use of a credit card and a misdemeanor count of theft, the sheriff’s office said.
Clark, who lives in Yorkville, was arrested April 22 and ordered held on a $25,000 bond, according to the sheriff’s office. He posted bond and was released pending his next court appearance.
