The Cubs have a trade-deadline addition by acquiring left-handed reliever Andrew Chafin from the Arizona D-backs, according to multiple reports.

Chafin is 1-1 with an 8.10 ERA in 11 games this season, but owns a 3.68 ERA over his seven seasons in Arizona.

The veteran southpaw will help bolster the Cubs’ bullpen as Kyle Ryan is currently the only left-hander in David Ross’ pen.

Chafin is currently on the 10-day injured list with a left-finger sprain and hasn’t pitched in a game since Aug. 17.
