He was found unresponsive with a gunshot wound to the head, police said.

A 24-year-old man was found with a fatal gunshot wound Friday in South Chicago.

He was found unresponsive about 5:40 p.m. in the 8400 block of South Escanaba Avenue, Chicago police said. He had a gunshot wound to the head and was pronounced dead.

The Cook County medical examiner’s office identified him as Isaiah Armstrong, of Calumet Heights. An autopsy conducted Saturday ruled his death a homicide.

No one is in custody as Area Two detectives investigate.
