The presidential portraits of Barack and Michelle Obama are coming to Chicago.

Chicagoans will have more than a year to bone up on the artwork before they’ll be displayed June 18 to Aug. 15, 2021, at the Art Institute of Chicago.

The portraits are normally on display at the Smithsonian’s National Portrait Gallery in the nation’s capital.

According to the Smithsonian: “The Obama Portraits will feature audiovisual elements, Portrait Gallery-led teacher workshops, curatorial presentations and a richly illustrated book. This special presentation will enhance the conversations surrounding the power of portraiture and its potential to engage communities.”

The Art Institute will be the first stop of a five-city tour that also will take the portraits to New York, Los Angeles, Atlanta and Houston.
