The holiday season kicks off Friday in Chicago with the return of the annual Christmas music marathon on WLIT 93.9-FM. The news was announced via tweet from the station’s program director/host Mick Lee, and in a report from media columnist Robert Feder.

The music starts at 4 p.m. and plays non-stop through December. It’s the 20th year for the special programming.

“After a year like 2020, we need holiday music more than ever,” said Lee via statement, according to the report. “Listeners can count on us to help spread joy, hope and love across the city as we celebrate 20 years. ... We’ll have fun contests, a few new surprises, and of course, the wonderful holiday music.”

You can catch the official launch for the event via the radio station’s YouTube channel.
