Everyone could use some cheering up these days, so Second City and Topic are coming to the rescue.

The iconic Chicago improve troupe and the streaming service have joined forces to present “The Second City Presents: The Last Show Left on Earth,” a half-hour sketch/variety limited series.

The initial stream premieres at 8 p.m. April 16.

The lineup will include Second City alums and their pals in “original sketches, musical performances, animation and rare Second City footage from the vaults,” according to the official announcement. The series’ theme song will be composed/performed by instrumentalist Andrew Bird.

The premiere episode will be hosted by “30 Rock” alum Jack McBrayer, with musical guest Jeff Tweedy and special guest Kelci Saffery (“Tiger King”).

Episode two will feature Christina Anthony (“Mixed-ish”) with musical guest Valerie June.

The lineup for subsequent episodes will include: John Hartman (“The Good Place”), London Hughes (“To Catch a D*ck”), Brad Morris (“The Good Place”), Fred Willard (“Modern Family”) and Claudia Michelle Wallace (“Key & Peele”), among others.

The episodes initially will only stream for 24 hours on Second City social media outlets on Facebook, Twitter and YouTube as well as Topic at youtube.com/topicstories and @topics/stories on Twitter and Facebook.

One week after each of their original stream dates, episodes will then become available exclusively Topic’s streaming channels.

“When the world as we knew it turned upside down, our first instinct was to call up all our talented friends and associates and figure out how to put TV back together the way we always wanted it to be: funny, uplifting and weird as hell,” said Billy Bungeroth and Liz Kozak, the show’s co-creators for The Second City.
