Bill Kurtis will be donning his chef’s hat for Bottlefork’s “Burger Chef for the Day” event Tuesday — helping out during the lunch hour from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.

A fun twist: While Kurtis is serving up the grub, “Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy” will be playing in the background. The veteran broadcaster, of course, is famously the narrator of both the original film and its sequel, “Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues,” both starring Will Ferrell.

†Fans of Golden Globe nominee and cabaret star Andrea Marcovicci will be sure to head to Davenport’s on Milwaukee Avenue — as the talented chanteuse continues her “No Strings” musical show at the Wicker Park venue through Sunday.

†A very special book signing takes place at the Chicago Public Library’s Harold Washington Library Center, beginning at 6 p.m. Thursday. Richard Cahan and Michael Williams will be autographing copies of their new book, “Eye to Eye: Photographs by Vivian Maier.” The book contains candid portraits of people captured in their everyday environments from the 1950s through the ‘70s — shot by the once anonymous Maier, who worked as a nanny for most of her life.

The book signing is presented in conjunction with an exhibition of Maier’s photographs from the Jeffrey Goldstein Collection, featuring approximately 55 silver gelatin prints of images selected from Cahan and Williams’ book, “Vivian Maier: Out of the Shadows.”
