Oscar winner Anthony Hopkins will tackle his first-ever television series — starring in HBO’s new drama series, “Westworld,” inspired by Michael Crichton’s 1973 cult sci-fi film, set at an amusement park that starred Yul Brynner, Richard Benjamin and James Brolin.

Also set for the new “Westworld” is Evan Rachel Wood in the project being developed by J.J. Abrams and Jerry Weintraub.

Hopkins will play Dr. Robert Ford, the brains behind Westworld. Wood will be Dolores Abernathy, who comes to discover her entire idyllic life is an elaborately-constructed lie.
