The buzz Monday was true: Cameron Diaz and Benji Madden tied the knot that night in a wedding they finally confirmed after the fact.

They said vows “in an intimate ceremony at their home in Los Angeles,” their rep told People.

“We couldn’t be happier to begin our new journey together surrounded by our closest family and friends,” the couple said in their statement.

The two were reported to have gotten engaged in mid-December.

Nicole Richie, who introduced Diaz to her musician brother-in-law Madden about seven months ago, was a bridesmaid, as was Drew Barrymore. Among the guests watching Diaz, 42, and Madden, 35, wed were Reese Witherspoon and Gwyneth Paltrow.
