Deadline reports the actor-rapper has signed on to co-star with Ice Cube and Cedric the Entertainer in “Barbershop 3.” His role has not been disclosed.

Malcolm D. Lee, who made the two “Best Man” films, will direct.

Common recently was seen on screen in “Run All Night” and “Selma,” for which he recorded an Oscar-winning original song with John Legend.
