Don’t you dare bring a selfie stick to Lollapalooza – they are on the ban list

SHARE Don’t you dare bring a selfie stick to Lollapalooza – they are on the ban list

Selfie sticks have joined weapons, fireworks, illegal drugs and bicycles on the list of objects banned at this year’s Lollapalooza.

Certainly, there is logical reason for the ban. Having tens of thousands of people running around Grant Park with collapsable staffs could be problematic. When the Art Institute joined a growing number of museums in banning selfie sticks, they cited safety concerns and damage to art work.

We also shouldn’t forget some of Lollapalooza’s more nefarious attendees – one man was hospitalized last year after another attendee attacked him.
