Jackie Robinson West continues to rack up the wins — and TV ratings.

The team’s steamroll victory Tuesday over Pearland of Texas set a new ratings record in the Chicago market for a Little League World Series game on ESPN networks.

The 6:30 p.m. battle logged a 5.7 rating in the Chicago area, which means roughly 200,000 local households tuned in to ESPN to catch the action.

Nationally, Tuesday’s elimination game generated a 1.5 overnight rating, according to Nielsen. That’s 67 percent higher than the rating for last year’s corresponding game.

At 6:30 p.m. Thursday on ESPN, the Morgan Park-based team will play the loser of tonight’s game between Philadelphia’s Taney and Mountain Ridge of Las Vegas.
