Directed by MADtv’s Bruce Leddy and produced by Chicago’s own Mick Napier (co-proprietor of the Annoyance Theatre and director at Second City), NBC’s recently shot pilot for a new sketch comedy show features a boatload of folks — both writer and actors — who trained at Chicago’s iO Theater, Second City and elsewhere.

News of the program’s development was published last summer.

A photo of the pilot script’s cover page posted in late June on The Comic’s Comic (via executive producer Lou Wallach) lists writers Tim Baltz, Colton Dunn, Ed Furman, Brian Jack, Mark Raterman, Brad Morris and Emily Wilson — Chicago-trained all.

Splitsider and The Comic’s Comic also have the latest details regarding cast members, though a spokeswoman at NBC was unable to confirm the reports.
